Call for Papers: Recent trends in woody root biology —Special issue on “Plant Root”

  • We are planning to publish a special issue of the 6th International Symposium on Physiological Processes in Roots of Woody Plants (September 2014, Nagoya, Japan) in “Plant Root” (ISSN: 1881-6754, http://www.plantroot.org/index.htm). Participants of the symposium are encouraged to submit papers to this special issue.
Scope of this Special Issue
  • The subject area of this special issue is “Woody Root”, which includes topics related to sessions of the symposium, “Nutrient uptake and utilization”, “Root development and turnover”, “Below-ground carbon allocation”, “Water acquisition” and “Biological interaction”, and all other fields of woody root biology at any scale from molecular- to ecosystem-levels. We welcome not only original articles, but also reviews and short reports. Research topics that are not presented in the symposium are also welcome.

  • “Plant Root” (ISSN: 1881-6754) is a fast track peer-reviewed and open access on-line journal published by Japanese Society for Root Research (JSRR).
